Diversity and Inclusion; rising above limitations

According to recent reports, in 2019 the proportion of women in senior management roles globally grew to 29%, the highest number ever recorded. While this is a significant milestone, this representation has to go way beyond statistics.

For this progress to be meaningful and sustainable, women and girls need to be more audacious by going into STEM fields that have been male dominated over the years. Diversity and Inclusion are both important and must go hand in hand to help drive this.

The presenter will discuss some practical ways to educate and empower young women to look beyond their limitations, be audacious, become a person of value in any environment and drive positive change irrespective of their age, race and personality.

Strategies to Build Relationships for Engagement
Session Recording
Zoom Chat

This workshop will give participants practical tools that can be used right away to build effective relationships to produce engagement in their STEM Programs.  Building relationships will give participants an opening for students to take risks which will allow them to be open to learn something new.  During this workshop participants will have the opportunity to apply strategies to build authentic relationships for engagement during their programs.   Through these strategies, organizations can evaluate and receive honest feedback on how to develop their program to increase girls of differing ethnicities and races to participate in their programs.
